Designed by Rob in conjunction with his Firewire glazer model. High-performance keel style fin. Low aspect ratio provides the fast and loose feel. Side fin more upright for speed. Centre fin more sweep for control.

Construction – Performance Glass (PG) fins are machine cut from layers of solid fiberglass. These fins are stiff, and are widely used by pro level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.

I tried these fins in boards that have used Reactors, Performers, Accelerators and Carvers in all manner of pro names and found them heaps of fun.

From the time I saw the Machado’s advertised I liked the sound of the semi keel fin design but was a little concerned about whether they may “spin out” too easy. They didn’t, and I was pleasantly surprised how well they hung in for steep barrelling take offs yet released off the top due to the small trailer.

I’ve only surfed these fins in waves up to 4’ or so but on multiple boards and they live up to the hype, really.

Give them a try, they make your normal high performance board feel like a fun board.
